Maths

We have been learning about fractions. This week we have been finding a half and quarter of shapes and objects.

English

We have been reading The Grinch and other Christmassy stories.

We have been writing about the Year 2 Elf this week and everything that he has been up to.

RE

We have been learning about how we can prepare for Christmas as a Christian. We have written beautiful songs to God like Mary did when Angel Gabriel told her the news that she was going to have a baby. Father Michael came to visit us on Friday and shared a prayer about Mary.

Science and PSHE

This week in Science we have been learning about healthy eating. We sorted foods into the correct proportions and designed our own healthy lunch.

Forest School

We made a Christmas decoration using a piece of willow. We made it into a triangle shape and fastened it together with wire. We persevered as sometimes tying the knots was tricky.  While we were making our decorations, Mrs O'Neill boiled water in the kelly Kettle to make hot chocolate.
