The Wednesday Word
"The Wednesday Word is an excellent resource that can be used in the class and at home to reflect on the issues and messages present in the liturgies."

"The materials produced are already used extensively throughout the dioceses in England and Wales - bringing remarkable graces to many. I offer my prayers and encouragement not only to those who provide The Wednesday Word but also to those who use it."
Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster
& President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales
At St Oswald’s Primary School, we use The Wednesday Word as a special way to help our children grow in faith and deepen their understanding of the Word of God. Each week, we share the Gospel theme with our classes, using the booklet’s reflections, activities, and illustrations to make Scripture come alive in a child-friendly and engaging way. Teachers guide the children in discussing the message of the Sunday Gospel, encouraging them to think about how Jesus’ teachings can be lived out in their daily lives. By linking home, school, and parish, The Wednesday Word helps our families continue these conversations together, strengthening our Catholic community and supporting the spiritual development of every child.
