Welcome to Reception's Friday Blog!

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

We have been taking part in circle times to get to know our friends more.

We have also been building jigsaws to practice our sharing with others.

RE

We have been exploring our prayer table and looking at the items on it.

We talked about the Bible and what it is.

We then listened to the creation story.

Expressive Art and Design

 We have started our new topic: Colour.

We did the skittle experiment. We made predications about what we thought might happen when we added water to them, then discussed what we saw.

Understanding the World

We have focussed on families this week and who lives with us.

We drew our families and explained who each person was.

We have also been looking for signs of Autumn and collecting autumn treasures – afterwards we did some autumn art.

PE

We did our first PE lesson!

We all got changed really well, a big well done.

Then we balanced on different parts of our bodies.

Forest School

We explored our nature area. We climbed trees, balanced on the tyres, found apples and ran up and down the hill.

We had a lovely review time at the end of the session.
