Year 5 - Go Green Day

Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

Class: Year 5 Year: 2021 - 2022

Today we discussed climate change and the little changes we could make in our lives that could, together, make a big difference in the world.  We have made a pledge, as a class, to turn off the classroom lights at break time, during the daily mile time, at lunchtime and during our PE lesson.  We worked out that this could save around 20 hours of electricity a week.  We also pledged to pick up 1 piece of litter each day, if we see any.  Together, if we pick up 1 piece of litter a day for 5 days of the week, we would pick up over 8000 pieces of litter a year.  We then went outside in the nature area and made natural art pieces.
