Year 3 - History - Bolton Museum
Class: Year 3 Year: 2025 - 2026
Our Year 3 children had a fantastic day on their trip to Bolton Museum!
As part of our History learning, we explored the Ancient Egypt exhibition, where we examined a range of fascinating artefacts and discovered more about life in Ancient Egyptian times. We even had the opportunity to dress up and, most excitingly of all, see a real-life mummy! It was incredible to see so many of the things we have been learning about in class brought to life.
We also visited the art gallery, where we carefully studied a variety of artworks before creating our own sketches inspired by what we had seen. The children showed great creativity, adding their own unique twists and ideas to their drawings.
Another highlight of the day was our visit to the aquarium. We were amazed by the vast array of fish and aquatic creatures from around the world. Linking our learning to Geography, we challenged ourselves to identify species that might be found in North and South America and discussed the different habitats they live in.
It was a wonderful day filled with learning, curiosity and creativity. The children were a credit to our school throughout the visit, demonstrating excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and respect. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school.
Well done, Year 3!
