Year 3 - English

Class: Year 3 Year: 2025 - 2026

This week in English, we have been busy writing our own stories inspired by Orion and the Dark. We explored how fears can be brought to life through character, description and emotion, before planning and writing imaginative stories where the main character faced their own worries and learned how to overcome them.

Once our stories were finished, we had the brilliant opportunity to share them with others. The children visited Year 2 and Year 5 to read their work aloud, practising clear reading voices, expression and confidence. It was lovely to see how proud they were to share their writing and how engaged the other children were when listening.
