We observed tulips closely and described the flower, stem and leaves to each other. We also watched a video which showed a great variety of tulips. We drew the whole flower and then drew the parts separately. We looked carefully at the shapes of each part. We experimented with a technique called 'scraping through' using a fork and paint.
