World Book Day 2026

We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day in school today. The children looked absolutely fantastic in their costumes and it was lovely to see so many favourite book characters come to life in our classrooms and around the school!

Throughout the day, the children enjoyed sharing their favourite books and telling their friends all about the characters they love the most. It was a great opportunity for everyone to talk about reading and discover new stories they might like to try next.

Reading plays such an important role at St Oswald's, and days like today help to remind us just how much joy a good book can bring. Every child also received a World Book Day voucher, which they can use to buy a new book and continue their reading adventures at home.
