Lent 2026
This week, children across the whole school have been reflecting on the meaning of Lent and thinking carefully about how they can grow closer to God during this special season.
In classes and during collective worship, we explored the three key pillars of Lent: prayer, fasting and giving. The children shared thoughtful ideas about what these look like in our everyday lives, praying more often, giving up small treats, helping at home, being kinder to friends, and looking out for others.
Each child has made a personal Lenten promise. Some have chosen to give something up, others have chosen to take something positive on. What has been most beautiful to see is the sincerity and maturity with which our children have approached this time of reflection.
Our promises are displayed in our hall as a reminder that Lent is not simply about giving things up, it is about growing in love, kindness and faith.
We are incredibly proud of the way our children are embracing this journey together.
