St Oswald's Catholic Primary School: Year 6: Blog items

Welcome to the Year 6 weekly blog.

This week in Year 6

English

Wizardology: The Book of the Secrets of Merlin | Master Merlin | 9780763628956 | Periplus Online Bookstore - Indonesia

In English we have been inspired by the book Wizardology this week! We have researched different immortal objects to create a page that would fit inside the book. We have also created our own immortal objects and thought carefully about how they would work and if they have any curses!

RE

What Is the Easter Miracle of the Resurrection?

In RE, we have thought carefully about the words that we associate with the resurrection. We have responded to our topic by creating a poem, letter or image to show what theresurrection means to us.

Topic

In PSHE, we have completed our My Happy Mind topic called Relate. We have learned how to actively listen and how our character strengths can help us resolve conflicts.

In History, we started our new topic all about WW2. We learned that before WW2 some countries were run democratically and that some were dictatorships.

In Art, we designed and created our very own chairs! We had to show resilience and think creatively to bring our designs to life.
