Date: 22nd Oct 2025 @ 8:23am

Welcome to the Year 6 weekly blog!
All of Year 6 have worked so hard this week on their Bikeability! They have shown great resilience and learned lots of new skills to keep them safe on the roads - well done Year 6!
This week in Year 6
English

In English, we have written an independent biography. We chose to research either David Wier or Ellie Simmonds, and worked hard to research and write all about their lives.
Maths

This week, we have completed our topic on division. We have learned how to divide using chunking, mental partitioning and how to choose the best strategy.
Topic
In Science, we learned how to use a classification key to classify animals. We challenged ourselves to be creative with our questions! We also researched and presented to the class information about different invertebrates. We were very proud of our work!
In Music, we were inspired by Black History Month! We played the djembe drums and made clapping patterns in pairs.
Home practice

Please read your books over the half term holidays - there is no work on Sumdog or spellings set for over the break.
