Westfield Junior School - Year 6

Welcome to the Year 6 weekly blog.

Year 6 have worked so hard on their SATs revision - we are all very proud of them! Please make sure that the children have a good rest this weekend so they are ready for their first tests on Monday. Good luck Year 6 - you will all be amazing next week!

This week in Year 6

English

Wizardology: The Book of the Secrets of Merlin (Ologies): Amazon.co.uk: Master Merlin, Steer, Dugald A: 9780763628956: Books

In English we have been working hard to revise for our SATs tests. We have practised past paper questions and enjoyed playing Kahoot this week. We have also edited our non-chronological reports all about immortal objects. We worked hard to make the pages interactive and appealing, as we were inspired by the 'Wizardology' book.

Maths

Making Maths Fun: Activities For International Day Of Mathematics

This week, we have revised shape, volume, Roman Numerals, angles, statistics and co-ordinate grids! We have worked hard on revising our reasoning and arithmetic skills.

RE

Embracing the Holy Trinity: Discovering True Community and Belonging

In RE, we have learned about the Holy Trinity. We have used evidence from scriptures to learn about God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Topic

In PSHE, we have completed our My Happy Mind topic called 'Be Your Best!'. We have learned how important sleep is and how to get ready before our tests on Monday!

In History, we have learned about crime and punishment in the Anglo-Saxon period. We used sources to decide what different punishments taught us about the Anglo-Saxons.
