All of Year 6 really enjoyed participating in the rugby festival today! 

 

This week in Year 6

History

Ration book - The National Archives

 

In History we have continued with our WW2 topic. We have been learning about how the lives of civilians changed during WW1 in Britain. We researched rationing, the role of children and evacuees and wrote some amazing fact sheets based on our research. 

Computing

How to Stay Safe Online | St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School

To start our new coding topic, we discussed what is acceptable and not acceptable to say online. We explored how words could be interpreted and discussed how we should conduct ourselves online. 

 

Geography

In Geography we explored our local area. We investigated how Longton has regional, national and global links!

Please complete the following tasks by Wednesday 9/07/25. 

 

Reading - Use your home reading to read every night for 30 minutes. You also have a reading diary that must be used for the title of the book and any challenges chosen. 

 

Books may be changed on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. 

 

Spellings - no spellings have been set this week 

 

Homework - 

Homework for this half term will be more topic based. Please complete one task from the topic homework sheet by next Thursday.
