Welcome to the Year 6 weekly blog.
This week in Year 6
English

In English we have been revising word class and punctuation. We have also been writing our detective stories about the mysterious crime of the missing Year 6 Easter eggs!
Maths

This week, we have been revising how to calculate missing angles in a shape. We have also been learning how to draw nets of 3D shapes and solve problems using all of our shape knowledge!
RE

In RE, we have been learning about the stations of the cross. We have reflected on a station of our choice and responded through artwork, poetry and prayer.
Topic
This week, we have worked hard to rehearse our Easter Liturgy in preparation for next week. We have worked hard on our singing and learning our lines. We can't wait for everyone to join us on Tuesday!
In Faith in Action, we completed our final learning focus about servant leadership. We thought about how we value our responsibilities in school and completed a build a bridge challenge to help us reflect on how we can help and serve each other!
In French, we

Please complete the following tasks by Wednesday:
Reading - Use your home reading to read every night for 30 minutes. You also have a reading diary that must be used for the title of the book and any challenges chosen.
Books may be changed on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
Spelling -
Next week we will have our end of term spelling test on the Y5/6 words. Please practise these words ready for our test on Tuesday.
The spelling sheet is attached to the end of the blog.
