Welcome to the Year 6 weekly blog. 

This week in Year 6

English

In English we wrote letters to a resident of a Nugent care home as part of the Good Shepherd appeal. Our letters will be posted to Nugent care and we hope that the recipients enjoy our writing!

RE

This week we learned all about what dialogue means when we are thinking about faith. We created some amazing books about St Katherine Drexel and how she dedicated her life to bringing education to different communities in America. 

Faith in Action 

This week we had our fun day to celebrate achieving our pin badge for Faith in Action. We attended the celebration award ceremony and then had a fun day after. We all really enjoyed the inflatables!

In Art this week we completed our chair topic by designing and creating our own chairs. You can see our designs on our galleries. 

In Geography we have learned how our local area fits into the wider world. 

We have also been working hard to rehearse for our production of Grease, practicing our songs and lines.  

Please complete the following tasks by Wednesday 3/07/25. 

Reading - Use your home reading to read every night for 30 minutes. You also have a reading diary that must be used for the title of the book and any challenges chosen. 

Books may be changed on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
