Welcome to the Year 6 weekly blog. 

Well done to all of Year 6 for their amazing Sport's Day this afternoon! 

This week in Year 6

English 

In English, we have been inspired by our evolution topic this week. We worked hard to research all about Charles Darwin and used the facts we found to create a biography all about his life and work. We also learned about Mary Anning and wrote a letter in role, explaining her thoughts and feelings when she found the ichthyosaur. 

RE

This week we learned all about Missio and how they put their Christian faith into witness by helping people across the globe. 

Topic 

In Science, we have continued our topic on evolution. We learned all about peppered moths and how the species is an example of how natural selection may lead to evolution. 

In Computing we learned how to input a formula into a spreadsheet as part of our spreadsheet topic. 

In Music we practised our songs and actions for our Grease summer show! 

Please complete the following tasks by Wednesday 24/06/26. 

Reading - Use your home reading to read every night for 30 minutes. You also have a reading diary that must be used for the title of the book and any challenges chosen. 

Books may be changed on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
