Year 6 Blog - Friday 19th December 2025
Date: 18th Dec 2025 @ 9:37pm

Welcome to the last Year 6 blog of 2025!

This Week in Year 6
We have had a really exciting and busy week in school before the Christmas break!
On Monday we wrote in role as a Christmas ornament, completed our topic on statistics and worked hard in our RE to think about why Mary was special to us.
On Tuesday we worked hard to practise our Christingles service, learned about the Battle of Britain in History and made periscopes in Science.
On Wednesday we also enjoyed Christmas jumper day and our Christmas dinner in school. We learned about our character strenths in PSHE and debated about the role of women in the church during RE. We also made our Christmas cards and Christingles.
On Thursday we all worked so hard to rehearse and lead our Christingle service in Church. Well done to all of Y6 children - you were wonderful! There is a video of our service on St Oswald's TV.
On Friday, we had our final Golden Assembly of the term and enjoyed watching Holes as a Christmas treat!

Home Practice
There is no Sumdog being set for the Christmas break, so you can have a rest and come back fresh and ready for the exciting learning in January!
BUT please keep reading as much as possible!
