Welcome to the Year 6 weekly blog.
Year 6 have worked so hard on all their tests this week! All of the staff are really proud of their resilience and effort - well done Year 6 for completing your SATs!
This week in Year 6
English
In English we have created our own immortal objects and thought carefully about how they might work. We wrote an independent non-chronological reports based on the objects that we created.
Maths

This week, we have revised our reasoning so that we were really confident for our SATs tests!
RE
In RE, we have learned about how Jesus is the New Adam. We explored scripture to make links.
Topic
In PE, we have played rounders and football and used our skills of teamwork!
In Art, we have begin to explore chair design in our new 'take a seat' topic. We have looked at the work of the artist Yinka Ilori.
In History, we have learned why the year 1215 was an important one for Britain. We have explored the events leading up to the creation of the Magna Carta and its impact on British law today.

Please complete the following tasks by Wednesday 20/05/26.
Reading - Use your home reading to read every night for 30 minutes. You also have a reading diary that must be used for the title of the book and any challenges chosen.
Books may be changed on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
Spelling -
There will be no spelling test this week, as the children have worked hard on their spellings for SATs!
This week, there will be no set homework as the children need a well-deserved rest after their SATs tests!

There has been a big special mention for all of Year 6 in our Golden Assembly this week for their effort, resilence and hard work for their SATs this week. Well done Year 6!
