Year 5 have had another great week of learning and have tried very hard – well done!

In English the class have been learning about relative clauses and sub-ordinating conjunctions to upscale their writing. The children enjoyed writing an imaginative short story, using new joining words.

In Maths Year 5 have continued to practise addition and subtraction on number lines, using partitioning and compensation strategies. Well done Year 5!

Year 5 attended parish mass this week and they behaved so respectfully and shared their knowledge of the readings with Father Michael. Well done to all!  They have also been talking about the rosary this week, as well as creating beautiful prayers based on virtues for our classroom. Year 5 also enjoyed learning about Saint Carlo Acutis, a young saint and they explored how he used his short life to spread the word of God.

In computing, the class have been designing websites and considering why certain websites appear in the top of searches online.

Year 5 have been applying their typography and design skills in Art this week, as they have started to create their own 3D maps of Narnia.
