We have had another fantastic week of learning in Year 5.

To start the week everyone wrote about their perfect day, using all the writing skills that they have learned over the year. We have been also enjoying our new novel ‘Dear Olly’ by Michael Morpurgo this week.

In Maths we have been learning about the volume of 3d shapes and making cuboids. We have now moved onto statistics and reading data in various table formats.

In RE we have explored the bible and how it is made up of many books and in various languages.

We have also been practising for sports day and we had great fun doing outdoor gymnastics too!

The week has ended with a special experience; a careers day. The children got to speak to various adults about their jobs including the police, a surgeon, a film maker, a physiotherapist and an estate agent to name a few! We also finished our 3D houses in art and created little videos of our work. A great week of learning Year 5 – well done!
