Year 5 blog Thursday 23rd October 2025

Date: 23rd Oct 2025 @ 3:44pm

Welcome to your Friday Blog

Year 5 have had a fabulous week of learning and have kept trying right to the end of half term – well done!

In English the class finished the class novel and wrote a detailed book review. They also continued to practise their relative clauses and use of apostrophes.

In Maths Year 5 have been learning to read and interpret tables of data, as well as revising place value and arithmetic methods!

Thank you to everyone in Year 5 who has brought in shoebox donations for other children in need in Preston. Donations are still welcome until 7th November. The class have reflected and prayed for this week for those in real need and who are displaced from their homes.

In PE, the class were joined by Mr Hough and everyone enjoyed showing him their skills in defence team games. He was most impressed!

There is no home learning set for half term. I hope you all have a lovely half term holiday. See you back at school on Monday 3rd November .
