Year 5 have been very creative and productive this week – well done Year 5!

In English the class have been practising using a variety of relative clauses, including those where the relative pronoun is omitted. They have also been using metaphors to describe characters from the novel.

In Maths Year 5 have been re-capping their tenths, hundredths and thousandths fractions as well as ordering numbers and developing their place value knowledge.

In RE this week, Year 5 have been dissecting the meaning of the Lord’s prayer and translating the seven petitions that sit within it. They have also been reflecting again on the meaning of happiness, through The Beatitudes given by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount.

In Art, the class completed their workhouse stages, including lots of details relating to the ‘Street Child’ novel. The level of creativity was amazing!

Finally, in History, the class have investigated the similarities and differences between the Anglo Saxons and the Vikings.

Well done Year 5 on another great week of learning!
