Year 5 have had a super week of learning– well done Year 5!

In English Year 5 have been writing about their perfect day, using all their Year 5 writing skills. They have also been writing about characters from the new novel – ‘Dear Olly’ by Michael Morpurgo – using point, evidence and explanation.

In Maths Year 5 have been learning about mode, median and range when looking at sets of data. They have also started re-visiting place value.

In RE this week, Year 5 have been exploring the various books in the bible and the languages they were originally written in. They all listened to the first part of Genesis being read in Hebrew and found it fascinating!

In science the class have continued to investigate the suitability of different materials and performed an experiment to test different cups to find the best insulating material. They were able to reach a conclusion and evaluate their findings.

Finally, Year 5 have really enjoyed taking part in Tough Kidder. Everyone was so enthusiastic and got stuck in!

Well done Year 5 on another great week of learning!
