Year 5 have worked incredibly hard this week– a super effort all round!

In English the class have been exploring various types of non-chronological report and have started to research and plan to write a report of their own. In their sports reporting session this week, the class focussed on being a sub editor and checking for errors in reports.

In Maths Year 5 have shown incredible resilience in their arithmetic, reasoning and tables assessments this week and have also been practising long division and chunking.

In RE this week, Year 5 have been learning about the O Antiphons, special songs that are sung at Vespers in the run up to Christmas. They have also made their own advent promises to prepare for Jesus’ arrival.

The whole class enjoyed the Santa dash this week. Everyone looked so festive and gave 100%. Thank you Year 5!

Finally, in computing, Year 5 have continued their topic on video production and editing. They have started to experiment using the clips app to record and edit clips of footage.

Well done Year 5 on another great week of learning!
