Times Tables
Please keep practising your times tables. Everyone has their own targets, which the children should have noted on the top of their spelling sheet.
Sumdog
Maths practise – individual challenge.
Spelling Challenge – practise sheets have been sent home and there is a practise test on Sumdog.
Year 5 have had a great week of learning– well done Year 5! They have also worked hard to practise the songs for next week's show.
In English Year 5 have been reading excerpts from Harry Potter and concocting magic potions.
In Maths Year 5 have been re-capping equivalent fractions and counting and adding thousandths.
In RE this week, Year 5 have practised reading scripture using the method of Lectio Divina, where you read, think, pray and rest in scripture to give you a deeper understanding of the Word.
The whole class enjoyed a mindful movement session this week and played tennis in PE.
Year 5 ended the week with learning about the various buildings that were constructed in the time of the Maya civilisation. They then enjoyed working in groups to create 3D Maya cities.
