Year 5 have been very creative and expressive this week – well done Year 5!

In English the class have been practising learning and performing poems in small groups. This is to build their confidence and performance skills. Everyone did really well. Year 5 have also started reading their new novel, ‘Varjak Paw’ by SF Said.

In Maths Year 5 have been re-capping their division and have started to learn divisibility rules for large numbers. Everyone has tried hard with this.

In RE this week, Year 5 have been investigating the meaning of Ash Wednesday as well as symbols and themes relating to Lent and what they mean.

In Art, the class have started a new topic on cityscapes and landscapes. They practised their sketching skills for landscapes this week.

The whole class enjoyed accessing a new presentation application called CANVA in computing this week. They learned how to animate and create AI images in presentations on the Victorians.
