Year 5 have had a great week of learning– well done Year 5!
This week the class have completed various assessment tests in English and maths. They have worked really hard and showed great resilience.
In English Year 5 have also been writing a descriptive piece about Matt, who decides to go to Africa and be a clown to cheer up the children in the refugee camp.
In Maths Year 5 have been re-capping division as well as addition and subtraction, using numbers with decimal points. They have also been learning new roman numerals.
In RE this week, Year 5 have continued to discuss the meaning of the stories in the bible and the difference between facts and spiritual truth.
The whole class enjoyed the taster day at All hallows, where they got to do a quiz, play cricket and rounders, enjoy performing arts and music and generally learn more about the school from teachers and other pupils. Mrs Hall, the Year 7 head, was very impressed with their behaviour and enthusiasm.
