Year 5 have shown superb listening skills this week and kept going with a great work ethic, despite all the excitement and anticipation of Christmas – well done!

In English the class have been writing their non-chronological reports, using some really challenging vocabulary. They have also impressed Gareth this week with their sport blogging skills. A super effort Year 5!

In Maths Year 5 have continued to develop their multiplication and division skills, using various methods, including the compensation method and partitioning.

In RE this week, Year 5 have been critically evaluating ‘O Antiphon’ art and creating their own.  They have also reflected on week 2 of Advent, with its message of peace and made great contributions in the Celebration of The Word assembly about how to practically be peacemakers and hope givers in the run up to Christmas..

In Art, the children have been painting pictures, based on a poem, ‘the Ghost in the Garden.’

Finally, in computing, Year 5 have continued their topic on video production and editing. They have been creating storyboards ready to create the videos in groups next week.

Well done Year 5 on another great week of learning!
