Maths practise – individual challenge.
Spelling Challenge – practise sheets have been sent home and there is a practise test on Sumdog.
Please also continue to use the fluency booster on Sumdog.
Year 5 have worked so hard this week. The children have really put a lot of effort which is great to see!
Year 5 continued to practise reading out loud in class from the novel this week in English – ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’. They have also been practising handwriting as well as using similes and expanded noun phrases.
In Maths the class have been looking at decimal numbers and comparing them, as well as looking at place value. Well done Year 5!
In RE, the theme this week has been about Moses and his Covenant with God as well as introducing the Ten Commandments and talking about what they mean. Year 5 also attended a welcome mass this week in church with Father Michael.
Finally, the week ended with discovering the similarities and differences between the four countries of the UK. A super week of learning!
