We have had a fantastic last week of term in Year 4.  The sunshine on Monday and Tuesday really helped too!

Here is a brief overview of this week’s learning:

In English, we revised the rules for writing dialogue.  We then discussed different words for ‘said’ and how Lila and the chief pirate (Rambashi) might speak.  Following this, we write a scene which included dialogue between these two characters.

In Maths, we practised our mental addition and subtraction skills.  We learnt and refined the strategies of bridging through 10, and compensating using a number line.

In RE, we learnt more about Holy Week and completed a beautiful piece of work in our books which showed our understanding of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.  We also took part in a class worship which was led by some of the children in Year 4.

In DT, we finished our sewing projects.  We also evaluated our creations, describing what we felt went well, what didn’t go so well, and whether the product was fit for purpose.  You can see some pictures of our finished items here.

On Tuesday afternoon, we also took part in an Easter Liturgy in church which was led by Year 6.

Well done for all your hard work this term Year 4.  We hope you have a lovely Easter Holiday - make sure you enjoy yourselves and spend time having fun with your friends and families.

We look forward to seeing you again on Monday 24th April 2023 in your summer uniforms.

Please remember to keep reading over the holiday!
