Our learning this week

English

In English, we started to plan a piece of writing about ‘someone special’.

We looked at an example, then planned and started to draft our own piece of writing.

Maths

In Maths, we have been busy completing end of year tests to demonstrate the brilliant progress we have made this year.

RE

In RE, we explored some artwork of Mary and expressed a point of view about it, listening carefully to the responses of others.

Following this, we created our own piece of work depicting Mary.

PSHE

In PSHE, we learnt how active listening can help us to relate to others.

Science

In Science, we learnt how sounds are made and associated this with something vibrating.

History

In History, we analysed and labelled the main type of Greek solider – hoplites.

In addition, we learnt about the Battle of Marathon and how a small Athenian army managed to overcome a larger Persian army!

Geography

In Geography, we created a poster in our books to explain why tourism is so popular in Greece and the Mediterranean.
