Our learning this week

In English, we perfected our speaking parts for our Parent Assembly.

We also wrote an article giving our opinion about whether junk food should be banned for all children under the age of 16.

In Maths, learnt the names of triangles (equilateral, isosceles and scalene) and used the terms regular and irregular.

In addition, we named different quadrilaterals based on their particular properties.

In RE, we explored the text of the Apostles’ Creed and the meaning of the words.

We also considered what taking our First Holy Communion means to us.

In PSHE, we learnt how to better understand our differences.

We discussed how we can use our strengths in different ways and how seeing things from a different perspective is a positive thing.

In Science, we recapped the digestive model from last week.

We then identified how our teeth have different jobs and help break down food.

In DT, we designed and created a product made out of felt.

We started by practising three different stitches (running, backstitch and overstitch).

Following this, we designed and created a useful item – for example, a purse, pencil case or glasses case.

We then evaluated our finished product by considering what went well and what we would change if we were to make the product again.

You can see some pictures of our finished products in our gallery.

Thank you for coming to our Parent Assembly – we hope you enjoyed celebrating with us.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday at the First Holy Communion Masses.
