Our learning this week

English

We investigated the features of a play script.

We wll be writing our own play script next week.

Maths

We learnt how to use time graphs to answer questions as well as draw line graphs when we were given information.

RE

We explored some paintings of St Paul’s conversion and discussed which one we preferred.

Additionally, we read 1 Corinthians 13 1-7 and 13 and made links between the words and how we can use them in our everyday lives.

PSHE

We learnt how perseverance and resilience help us.

We also discussed how we can stay focussed on our goals using these 2 attributes.

Science

We started our new topic – Sound.

We discussed how we hear sounds and how our ears work.

We then explored what sound is (a vibration) and drew a diagram to show this.

Computing

We continued programming using code.org. We practised our ‘debugging’ skills by finding and fixing errors in pre-written code.

Then we arranged programming instructions in a specific, step by step order, so that the ipad played musical sounds in the order we wanted.

French

We started a new topic – Weather. We learnt how to name the different weather conditions.

On Thursday afternoon we also took part in a ‘Mindful Movement’ session.

During the session, we learnt how to make relaxing movements with our bodies, practised the ‘candle breathing’ technique, and let our bodies calm down and relax.

You can see some pictures in our gallery.
