Our Learning this Week
In English, we read about Michael’s first encounter with Kensuke on the island.
We then planned and wrote a diary account from Kensuke’s point of view.
We tried to ensure we included lots of thoughts and feelings and made it entertaining for the reader.
In Maths, we learnt that perimeter is the measure of length or distance around the boundary of a shape.
We then applied our understanding to help us calculate the perimeter of rectilinear shapes.
In RE, we listened again to the story of the three visitors who came and told Abraham that he would have a son.
We drew a picture and wrote a sentence to show our understanding of the story.
In addition, we described the covenant between God and Abraham which included what each promised.
In P.S.H.E, we learnt how to look after our brains and continued to develop our ‘happy breathing’ habit.
In Science, we explored and used classification keys to identify living things.
In addition, we created our own classification key using yes/no questions on post it notes.
In History, we became archaeologists as we looked at different artefact.
We considered what they were, what they were made of, who might have used them and what it told us about the Romans.
