Year 3 Blog - Thursday 22nd October 2026
Date: 22nd Oct 2026 @ 10:15am

Welcome to your final blog of the half term!
We have had such a fantastic half term. We've worked so hard!
English
We continued to read Stone Age Boy. We explored the features of a diary entry, wrote our own in role as the boy, and wrote it neatly. We then read our diaries to Year 2.
Maths
We interpreted bar charts and pictograms. We solved word problems by reading the graphs.
R.E.
We explained the meaning of 7 ecological virtues: praise, gratitude, care, sobriety, humility, work and justice.
P.S.H.E.
We talked about dares and how they can be dangerous in friendship groups. We acted scenarios, showing the correct way to respond to a dangerous dare.
Computing
We had an online safety lesson. We practised using Kiddle (a child-friendly version of Google) to search for answers to questions.
Science
We sorted food into carbohydrates, fats and protein.
Golden Assembly
Star of the Week: Nelly
Super Learner: Reuben
Superstar Writer: Rudy

Special Mentions: Emma for always being organised and ready to learn, and Izzy and Kamali for always helping others when they're sad.
Have a fantastic half term. Keep safe and we'll see you on the 2nd November.
