English
Our new mammoth book is called 'Mammoth: Big Beast, Big City, Big Trouble'. We predicted what could happen in the story, wrote expanded noun phrase sentences, used thought bubbles to infer feelings and wrote a diary entry in role of the mammoth.
We also wrote our own stories about some children who were on the moon!
Maths
We measured lines using both centimetres and millimetres. We also measured the perimeter of shapes.
P.E.
We practised turning from our front to our back.
R.E.
We highlighted key parts of Psalm 8 and we wrote our own canticle of creation.
Science
We started to make a prototype of our arm muscles.
Computing
We identified where the networks are in our classroom and our school.
History
We persuaded people to use bronze tools instead of stone tools.
Art
We used torches and sketching pencils to sketch objects.
Forest School
We demonstrated excellent teamwork skills making our shelters. It was really windy, which added to the challenge! There were great know tying skills on display, as well as problem solving, resilience and imaginative solutions.
