What a great first week we've had! I can't believe how grown up everyone is!

Home Practice - Sumdog

Maths challenge - Partitioning numbers

Spellings challenge - Phase 5 recap (a_e and u_e)

Counting – Can you count in twos from 0 to 20? Can you go beyond 20?

Reading - Please try to read at least three times a week.

Please remember to bring book bags each day.

English

We started our first English story - Stick Man. We described Stick Man using adjectives and re-wrote as much of the story as we could.

Maths

We exchanged tens for hundreds, and tested our friends by making amounts using base ten.

P.E.

We met our new swimming coaches.

Our swimming sessions will start next Wednesday and run until Christmas.

R.E.

We read the first part of our Bible - Genesis. We made a front cover for our RE books and drew pictures of what God made during the few days of creation.

Art

We used charcoal to sketch our faces.

History

We became History detectives! We were given clues about the Red Lady of Paviland from the Stone Age, then we made assumptions using the clues.

Computing

We explored the difference between an input and an output.

We also made 'safe' passwords using a mixture of letters and numbers.

Please remember your wellies for Forest School on Monday! We will have Forest School every Monday this half term.
