English
We read the first couple of chapters of The Twits. We have solely focused on using adjectives to describe. We described Mr Twit's beard, we described Mrs Twit, and we used exaggerated language to describe the characters.
We also had a spelling test on our Year 2 spellings.
Maths
We have been very busy in maths this week. We compared numbers using 'greater than' and 'less than' and we rounded numbers to the nearest ten.
P.E.
We had a fantastic first swimming session! We put our heads underwater, floated on our backs and tried to swim a short distance.
R.E.
We continued to explore the Creation story. We ordered the story together.
Art
We experimented using charcoal by drawing lines and shapes.
Science
We identified parts of the body, such as ribcage and pelvis.
Computing
We designed our own device which had an input and an output.
Forest School
First, we visited our garden to see what changes we could spot. We harvested some beans and peas. There was lots of great teamwork, problem solving, communication skills and imaginative play.
