Year 2 Home Practice - 18th September 2020

Date: 17th Sep 2020 @ 1:20pm

We have had a fantastic week in Year 2. In English we have been basing all our writing around the novel Burglar Bill. In Maths we have focused on number and place value. We have also enjoyed using outdoor areas to carry out science investigations. We love staying active and healthy in Year 2 so we have been completing the Daily Mile every day.

Reading

In Year 2 we aim to read for a minimum of 15 minutes every night and discuss the book with an older sibling or adult to help deepen your knowledge.

Reading books are changed every Monday.

Maths

This week we will be looking at place value and number. Please have a go at using the resources and work set on Sumdog. Try to spot some numbers around your house or while on a walk. Talk to your parent or older sibling about them. Can you partition the number into tens and ones?

Sumdog

Sumdog can be played from home, as well as in the classroom. To log in from home, students use the same details as they do in class.

Log in at www.sumdog.com

Additionally, students can access Sumdog via the app, which are free to download and play. In both cases, they'll need an internet connection.
