The Ugly Five : Donaldson, Julia, Scheffler, Axel: Amazon.co.uk: Books

English

We learnt through the book, "The Ugly Five". It's a rhyming story about animals in Africa.

We used it as inspration to write about our own ugly beast.

First, we drew our ugly beast then we carefully described it using interesting words from the book.

We have been preparing for Sports Day (18.05.26).

It's been great fun using the track and improving our athletics skills.

Forest School

This week is Hedgehog Awareness Week. We looked at a book which gave us some facts about hedgehogs and also some ideas about how we can look after them, making hedgehog holes and thinking carefully about using slug pellets.

We cut out a hedgehog shape from cardboard and attached elastic bands. We then used sticks threaded through the bands tomake the spikes.

Some of us made hedgehog homes and some of us did some bug hunting.
