Year 2 Blog-Friday 4th September

Welcome to your Friday blog!

All the children have come into Year 2 looking so smart and have settled in really well.

English

This week we have started learning through the story of Burglar Bill. We talked about and then wrote some brilliant predictions.

We also practised our handwriting and revised the long e sound, ea as in beach and ee as in sheep.

Maths

We learnt about numbers up to 100. We made the amounts using Base 10 equipment.

Art 

We drew some leaves . We watched a video about an artist called Andy Goldsworthy.

Science

We learnt about living things and things which have never been alive. We drew some great pictures which showed our understanding.

Our P.E. day will be Wednesday.

Next week, we will be doing Forest School on Tuesday. Please make sure your child has a pair of named wellies which will stay in school.
