Reading: In Year 2, children should read for at least 15/20 minutes every night and talk about the book.
This will help with understanding the text and learning new words.
Spelling: Please practise these spellings for your quiz on Friday (08.05.26):
sledge smudge badge ledge lodge huge wage large barge plunge
Sumdog: Complete the time and spelling challenges.
Counting: Count forwards and backwards in fives. See how far you can go! Notice the link with telling the time.
You could also work on your 2, 5, 10 or 3 times tables, telling the time and doubling and halving.

Our new topic is Kings, Queens and Castles.

Then we completed a castles quiz.
Forest School
We worked really well together to build our obstacle courses. We were very careful when we were moving the logs around. We had great fun when we tried the courses out.
Science
We carefully observed 3 different plants. We discussed the similarities and differences between them. We made some drawings and made sure we were working as real scientists, drawing what we could actually see.
We also had a look at out seeds which we planted last week and we updated our plant diary...only one pot of seeds have started growing!
