Calcot Schools - Year 2

Home Practice

Reading:

In Year 2, children should read for at least 15/20 minutes every night and talk about the book.

This will help with understanding the text and learning new words.

Remember you will get a sticker on your book mark for every book you read!

Spelling:

Please practise these spellings for your quiz on Friday (20.06.25):

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday

Sumdog:

Please complete the greater than/less than challenge by Friday (20.06.25).

Counting:

Count in 2s, 5s and 10s forwards and backwards to 100. See how fast and accurate you can get.

Look at how they relate to the 2s, 5s and 10 times tables.

Times Tables:

We were busy doing our assembly rehearsals so did not do our quiz this week.

We will quiz your knowledge of the 2 times tables in a muddled order on Thursday (19.06.25)
