Home Practice
Reading: In Year 2, children should read for at least 15/20 minutes every night and talk about the book.
This will help with understanding the text and learning new words.
Remember you will get a sticker on your book mark for every book you read!

Sumdog: Have a go at the place value challenge.
English

We have been learning through the story of Burglar Bill.
We wrote him a letter telling him all about ourselves. We also made a poster.
In handwriting we have been learning how to form our letters with lead-ins.
Phonics
We have been revisiting ee as in tree, ea as in leaf, e-e as in Steve and y as in happy.

Maths
Place value - we have been learning how to represent 10s and 1s using different equipment. We have used Base 10, straws and counters.
R.E

Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed reading the story of Noah's Ark. Using pictures and sentences they retold the story brilliantly.
Forest School
We had a walk to see what had changes we could see. We harvested some beans and peas. One group found a family of baby mice under a log. There was lots of great teamwork, problem solving, communication skills and imaginative play .
Computing
It was interesting to learn and understand what Information Technology (IT) is.
The children identified items/objects that were IT and were not IT. They drew pictures and labelled them so well.
