Year 2 Blog Friday 10th July 2026

Home Practice
Reading: In Year 2, children should read for at least 15/20 minutes every night and talk about the book.
This will help with understanding the text and learning new words.
Spelling/Sumdog: There will be no more spelling quizzes or Sumdog challenges in Y2.
Counting: Count forwards and backwards in quarters like we did in class.
You could also work on your 2, 5, 10 or 3 times tables, telling the time and doubling and halving.
