Have a family fun filled half-term | Shaw Education Trust

Home Practice - Sumdog

Maths challanges - One more and one less

Counting – Can you count in 10s to 50 forwards and backwards?

Reading - Please try and read at least three times a week.

Please remember to bring book bags each day.

English

This week we read a new Winnie story - Winnie's Haunted House.

We focused on using bossy (imperative) verbs to write a set of instructions for making a potion. We identified different verbs, wrote a group set of instructions and then our own.

We also had a brilliant time at the library!

Phonics

This week, we all focused on tricky words and recognising all of the phase 2 and 3 sounds.

Maths

We continued to recognise numbers between 20 and 30.

We completed another arithmetic using cubes to help us to count.

R.E.

We read Laudato Si and wrote sentences explaining how we can look after our world

In Prayer and Liturgy we focused on kindness, linking into our RE. We talked about kind words and how we can be kind by praying.

Computing

We had our first online safety lesson. We talked about why we need to ask permission to do certain things online.

Art

We made Winnie pictures with pastels.

Science

We compared ourselves to our friends. We used the words 'same' and 'different'.

Geography

We labelled our own maps.
