English
We started our Mother's Day writing ready for our assembly next week. We wrote lovely sentences about our mums.
Maths
We started our fractions topic. We learnt that with fractions, we have parts and a whole. We also learnt that our parts need to be equal in a fraction. We then practically made halves.
R.E.
We recapped the Bible passage of Jesus entering Jerusalem. We role played the story using our own palm leaves.
We also listened to the story of Jesus teaching in the Temple, and we discussed the reasons why the leaders did not like Jesus.
In our class collectives we read a story about Jesus coming across a Samaritan woman trying to get water from a well. She was afraid because Jesus was a Jew. We talked about how we should celebrate our differences and accept everyone.
Science
We identified and drew different types of weather.
History
We started our Hospitals topic and focused on the impact that Florence Nightingale had. We wrote facts about her in our books and recognised why she is historically significant.
P.S.H.E.
We learnt how to 'stop, understand and consider' how other people are feeling when difficult situations arise.
Computing
We learnt how to add voice recordings onto pictures on Seesaw.
Art
We made Holi pictures using watercolours and straws.
We also painted flowers using watercolours.
Yoga
We had a great yoga session with Beth.
Our Mother's Day assembly is next week: Friday 13th March at 2:40. Please come along if you can!
