English
We wrote amazing fact files about David Attenborough and Eugenie Clark, two people who work hard to ensure that the animals on our planet are looked after.
We also wrote pledges on orange ribbon, describing how we can help the Earth.
Phonics
All of us have been recapping the phase 3 and phase 5 sounds ready for our phonics screen.
Some of us have continued to learn the different ways to make an or sound. We learnt oar in roar, our in pour, augh in taught and ough in bought.
Maths
We continued to share objects into groups. This week, we shared between three, four and fives different groups and some of us even began writing division number sentences!
R.E.
We focused on reciting the words of The Sign of the Cross. We also drew our own cross to represent Jesus Christ.
Science
We recapped the differences between evergreen and desciduous trees before going outside to see if we could spot any of them. We used their leaves to distinguish between them.
History
We matched up facts about famous explorers.
PSHE
We learnt about how to engage our brains by being calm and showing good listening. We learnt how to set goals so that we feel good when we achieve them.
We also started to identify how our needs change as we grow up. We compared babies to toddlers, children and adults.
Art
We sketched different minibeasts in our sketchbooks.
PE
We continued to practise our underarm throwing using smaller objects like beanbags and tennis balls.
Tough Kidder
We had so much fun during Tough Kidder!
