English

We read a new story: How to Grow a Dragon. We created our own dragon plant and wrote sentences about it. Then we made an informative booklet about how to look after a dragon.

Maths

We identified different 2D and 3D shapes. We looked at their properties and found everyday examples of them in the classroom.

See our pictures here.

R.E.

We read two Bible passages: The call of the disciples (Luke 5:1-11) and the little children (Luke 18:15-17). We talked about how Jesus encouraged others to follow Him and how He welcomed everyone. We made colourful fish for our RE display, and then made welcome posters using the word 'hello' in different languages.

See our pictures here.

In our class collectives, we focused on the word 'goodness' from our Wednesday word. We talked about we need to let our light shine, just like Jesus.

P.E.

We created our own gymnastic sequence which contained a travel, roll and a jump.

Art

We made our medals!

See our pictures here.

Computing

We continued learning to type on a keyboard. This week, we typed up our Edgar story. Our typing skills have really improved!

Forest School

We went for a walk up to our pond. We noticed changes to the trees and that some branches had been blown down.In our log circle area we chose to do some bug hunting, den building, crafting and tree climbing.

We found a dead stick which has some jelly ear growing on it.
