Sumdog challenges
Maths - Add within 20
Phonics - Sounds learnt this week
Counting - Practise the counting to 20 game with your family. Try and count backwards too!
Reading - We've had a drop in the number of children changing their reading books so please keep reading at home.
Please remember to bring book bags in each day.
English
We read our new book Little Polar Bear, which is about a polar bear called Lars who floats away from his father whilst he's asleep! We described the North Pole, wrote speech bubbles for the characters and wrote sentences explaining what we would do if we were Lars.
We also finished our special person writing. They will up on display during our open morning!
Phonics
Some of us have compared different u spellings.
Some of us have been comparing ear in hear and eer in deer.
Maths
We have been adding and subtracting numbers to 20 using part-whole models and tens frames. We have also been focusing on using known number sentences to form fact families.
R.E.
We listened to different types of music, such as Gospel music, and discussed which was our favourite and why. We all loved 'My Lighthouse' by Rend Collective!
PSHE
We talked about times that we show different emotions and how it's okay to feel sad, confused and angry sometimes.
Art
We made our final minibeast collage using painted card. We made ladybirds, wasps, caterpillars and butterflies.
Moving up morning
We had so much fun in Year 2! Mrs Corbett and Miss Gravili learnt all about us.
Dance from the Heart
We performed brilliantly on Wednesday! A big thank you to everyone who came to watch us.
Rock Steady
A big well done to Harry, Lara, Zac, Jesse and Rudy for being amazing rockstars!
